Back to a favorite subject.  I never tire of watching foxes and I have been very lucky with people allowing me to sit for hours watching foxes play, sleep and just be foxes. It one of the most important things about painting.  Good field work. Observing you subject carefully and knowing your subject well. Should you do a painting and don't know your subject someone who does will be the first to notice something wrong.
